1. For the viewers who aren’t familiar tell us a little bit about you & what you do.
I’m Blue. I am one of the original owners of the Clothing line Unkommon Kolor. I design and do some of the marketing and I also make some of our videos.
2. How did you guys come up with the name Unkommon Kolor & what inspired it ?
Basically we wanted something different so we choose 2 words that we thought best described our style and outlook on clothing
3. How did Unkommon Kolor get started?
Me and Jeremy Campbell were fans of each others work via facebook. We used to play football together years ago. We hooked up started thinking of different ways to make something happen. We figured clothes would probably be the most beneficial for the both of us. Then we added on Jeremy Biggers to help on the photography and so on and so on…
4. Being that a lot of people are interested in fashion, What would you say separates your line from the rest?
We try to only make small quantities of our shirts. We also still do 1 of a kind custom pieces(hats,shoes, skate decks, etc…) And we are all artist.
5. We’re both in Texas SURPRISINGLY (lol) How would you describe our fashion scene?
I think Dallas is a little behind on fashion. We get everything late. I think Houston is a more fashionable city. I have no idea why though.
6. What would you say is your “signature” item of clothing?
are new shirts we have coming in the spring will be crazy. I think everything with the new unreleased logo should be disgusting(in a good way)
7. What can we expect from Unkommon Kolor for winter?
We have a new logo coming and new everything a more official together look as well. Hoodies, Hats, Letterman Jackets, and Decks
8. What inspires you from day to day?
Music is pretty big to me. I listen to music all day. I am also inspired by the whole chase the dream kinda thing. You can make it doing what u want or u could do some shit you dont wanna do for the rest of your life.
9. How long does it take creating a shirt from start to finish.
it takes about 1hr to get it out of the mind to the computer and perfected. Maybe more depending on the design. about a week to get printed
10. Being that you are a designer, What are some of your favorite brands & lines right now?
The Hundreds, BBC Ice Cream, Louis Vuitton, Supra, Levi 511’s, AA v-necks and shirts and cardigans
11. Where would you like to see Unkommon Kolor in the future?
Barneys and boutiques around the world. A store or 3 would be nice too
12. Any words of wisdom you live by?
People Make time for what they want to make time for. and you only live once.
13. What do you thing about geyahsblog?
Pretty Dope and its clean. Like simple clean.
